  • Thank you for spreading kindness in honor of Deane! It certainly takes resilience to do nice things for others (“pay it forward”), especially when you’re not feeling so great yourself. Here are some examples of paying it forward:

-Pay someone’s tab at a bar or restaurant.

-Leave a large tip for great service.

-Help a neighbor with household chores or yard work.

    -Clean a friend’s car.

-Bring a meal to family, friend, neighbor, etc.

-Volunteer at a local charity or community organization. Give your coin to someone else who is doing the same!

-Pay for the car behind you at the drive thru.

-Deliver flowers to someone in need or just to make someone’s day.

-Reconnect with an old friend and spend quality time with them.

-Reach out to someone who has made a significant impact on your life and tell them how important they are to you. If in person, bring them a coin and if over the phone, mail your coin to them in follow up!

    …and plenty more!

Listen to those around you and try to act on their needs, wants, and hopes. Remember when you pay it forward, be sure the recipient of your kind gesture receives your coin so they can continue to spread kindness across the world!
